Tell us a little bit about your photography - where are you based and what type of photography do you currently enjoy?
I'm a videographer and photographer based in the middle of France, in Auvergne. My goal is to create inspiring visuals, which will make you feel real emotions. I like to be told stories and asked to tell them myself. I believe that "Carpe diem" is an example to follow. I live in the present moment, ephemeral, which I capture to create memories that will be eternal.
In only a couple of words, how would you describe your style of photography?
Dreamy and unstudied
Tell us about one of your most memorable photoshoots or perhaps a favourite photo you have taken?
It may seem paradoxical with all the gear I bought, but the most beautiful photo I've taken was on my phone. I was coming back home from a run and I decided to stop in a place near my house. To look at the beautiful view that this place gives. When I took the picture, it was daylight and I left without looking at the photo. I checked it a few days later, and to my surprise the photo was unrecognisable from the sight I had at the time of the photo. Call it chance or magic, I' am incredibly grateful to have been in the right place at the right time.
As a photographer, nurturing your creativity while trying to balance self employment and life can be a little tricky sometimes. Where do you find the inspiration to continue creating and maintaining consistency?
To keep enjoying my work and being constantly creative, I take time to go for a walk everyday in the forest. I live near a national volcano park so it helps! But the idea is just to take time for myself. Knowing how to refocus on yourself, for me is essential. It brings me joy and I find creativity from those calm moments.
Having grown as a photographer, is there any piece of advice that you could give to yourself when you first started down this path, or wish you had known sooner?
I think that everything happens at the right time. If I had to restart, I would definitely do everything the same way. It's from making mistakes, that I've learnt all the things I know today. If I had to tell something to my younger self, I would tell her that everything will be alright, and to not stress about the future. We are all good photographers, and we all have our styles or moods. Our eyes are unique and we will always match with the best clients for us.
Is there anything special you have been working on - mentoring, workshops, courses etc. We'd love to let other photographers know!
I'm currently not working on a another project at the moment
What gear are you currently using and what would you typically carry in your Kamrette camera bag?
I'm a huge Canon lover. I use two 5D Mark IV with Sigma art lenses. I just love my Kamrette bag, because of the space it provides, it's the perfect combo for me. Everything I need for a wedding can fit perfectly and I can access it all very easily. I have to confess though, the first reason I decided to buy the Kamrette bag, was for it's beautiful look. I was so happy to find a classy camera bag that matches with the spirit of fashion!
Let's finish it off with a fan favourite - if you could only have one lens, which one would you choose?
I'm a photographer and videographer, so if I had to choose only one lens, it wold be a 35mm 1.4 Sigma art.
